Miami Listening Station
About the work - On view at III Points Festival, 2026 With communication as we know it in decline and people exchanging fewer words each year, Miami Listening Station combines the nostalgia of a phone booth with local music as a vehicle for discovery and connection.
At a time when music is increasingly buried in algorithmic selections and a sea of machine-suggested content, the installation invites visitors to discover Miami's local music scene through a more personal listening experience.
By repurposing a vintage Miami phone booth into a listening station, the installation aims to preserve and highlight the simple, increasingly rare ways we connect with one another while creating space for local music to be heard.
